Welcome 2012

This new year starts off with Hb cooking pineapple fillings for our homemade pineapple tarts (actually he started cooking since 11pm and haven't stop since then). We kind of got glued to the idea of perfecting our pineapple tarts since my first and Hb's second attempt a few days back, so we are now cooking the pineapple fillings for our next batch of pineapple tarts =D

As for 2012, no special thoughts at the moment. Actually is haven't got time to really think of any new year resolutions....(juz excuses....heehee). Anyway, I just hope that all wells ends wells =)

Hillarys Boat Habour & AQWA

Since today is a PH over in Perth, we decided to bring the kids to Hillarys Boat Harbour for some fun at the mini beach and the aquarium, AQWA. The kids had such fun time that they were reluctant to leave, esp. YZ....haahaa =D

Hb's B'day cum Xmas Celebration

Hb's b'day happens to be on Xmas day itself so we alwaz celebrate these two occasions together =) This year, we managed to get a small log cake for hb as his b'day cake...heeehee =P The gals enjoyed it alot and we had great fun together =D

Brought the kids out with my friends and family on two occasions in November 2011. First trip was to Haw Par Villa on 6 Nov 2011....went there with Eileen and family, Biyun and Shuping =)

ZaiMei's 1st B'day Celebration

We celebrated ZaiMei's b'day a little way in advance, on 20 Nov 2011. Her acutal day is on 1st Dec. Anyway, we had vegetarian at 8 Treasures Vege Rstn at Chinatown. The food was good and the portion ok. ZaiMei would like to thank all grandparents and uncles and aunties for all the gifts and angpaos.

October / November 2011

Time flies so fast! Never have enough time on hand, esp. with 2 kids to look after....Nothing really big in these two months though....Just some updates on their progress:-

YZ's progress:-
- getting more emotional n tempremental
- likes to do tracing and sing songs
- started toilet training

ZM's progress:-
- able to walk on her own
- likes to follow and imitate YZ
- cries whenever things dosen't go her way

Stomach Flu

Yuezuan contacted stomach flu on Tuesday evening, starting with vomiting and then diarrhea. Bought her to KKH on Wednesday morning and she was admitted due to dehydration. Was feeling heartache to see her so weak and put on IV, but glad that she made progress to recover. As her illness is contagious, she missed the school photo-taking sessions. And poor Zaimei who accompanied her sister throughout her stay contacted her illness on Friday and was also hospitalised. Though she was not as serious as her sis, as she is only 11 months old, the doctors didn't want to take any risks. Looking after them together in the hospital was no easy task, but I was lucky that my mum was able to help (Thanks Mama =D). Hope that they will recover and return home soon.

September 2011

September can never be busier!
1. Look for new accomodation in Perth.
2. Extend Perth Trip for Aug-Sep.
3. Pack belongings to prepare for shifting.
4. Shift house and unpack belongings.
5. Fly back to Singapore.
So many events all happening at almost the same time! On top of that, still got 2 princesses to look after. Luckily luck was with us and we managed to get everything sorted and organised. Gotta thank my bro and gf, and my cousin for all the help they have given ;)

YZ's progress:-
- love bedtime stories
- can recite stories told to her
- getting more independent
- able to express herself better

ZM's Progress:-
- able to point to objects to tell you what she wants
- has a mind of her own
- makes her own decision for eating, drinking, etc
- greets 'papa' more affectionately
- can hold and walk more steadily but still loves to crawl ;)

Oz's Father's Day

This year, Oz's Father's Day is on the 4th September 2011. We had a small celebration with the kids and my bro and gf and cousin. We went for yum cha in the late morning and had ginseng chicken and mud cake for dinner.

July/August

Just some quick updates for July - August....
- had celebrations every weekend since 19 June all the way till end July
- busy with the kids as usual (esp. with them falling sick one after the other)
- travelled to Perth on 13 Aug to find hubby =)

Recently Yuezuan got attracted to watching Dora the little explorer. She can spend up to an hour watching 2 episodes at one shot. Sigh *shake head*

As for Zaimei, she is able to crawl better and like to stand and walk with assistance. She has also learned to play with Yuezuan and join her in her games. She also like to play on the electronic keyboard which hubby bought for them. Zaimei can also utter Mama, Papa, BaoBao, MamaBao, Jiejie and Popo.

Overall, both have progressed well and are adapting well in Perth. Hope they will get used to the constant travelling and adapt well to each enviroment without much trouble.

YZ's Sch Progress Sem I

Had a parents-teachers meeting on 28 June 2011. YZ's overall performance and progress are still satisfactory....just hope that she can learn to be more 'sharing' next time =)

June 2011

Just came back from Perth on 19 Jun morning. This trip back was the first time I travelled alone with the two kids, things were quite ok during the flight
with juz a little hiccups from YZ. We were kinda lucky as the ground staff from both airports were very friendly and helpful. Look at ZM enjoying the flight while YZ dozing off to la-la land....





Touched down on Father's Day so the whole family except BigBro went for a mini celebration at Feast@East at Grand Mercure Roxy for a brunch buffet. The food served was Nonya style and ZM and I love the durain dessert most...Heehee

ZM progress update:-
- 26 weeks : Able to seat up straight
- 28 weeks : Starting to squart
- 29 weeks : Able to stand up by holding on to the bed rail

$2 Fishing

Saturday mornings have always been 'marketing mornings' for us in Perth. Things were the same on last Saturday's (11 June) marketing trip....except that YZ got glued on to the fishing game stall at Subi Farmers Market--she kept running away from us to go back to the fishing game stall *faint...no bribes would get her away and follow us. In the end, we 'raise white flag' and gave her A$2 to have a game....see how much she enjoy herself *wink ;)

Margaret River

Last weekend was a long one due to Monday, 6 June being Foundation Day in Perth. Hubby and I decided to bring the kids to Margaret River for a day on Sunday. We planned to visit quite a few places but in the end only went for 1 planned (Margaret River Chocolate Company) and 2 unplanned places (Country Life Farm and Busselton Jetty). The kids were surprisingly 'alright' during the car trip which took about 3 hours with only small hiccups now and then. Though we did not go to all the places we wanted to go, I am glad that YZ enjoyed herself, esp during the farm visit where she fed carrots to animals =)
