Boxing Day

Our first Boxing Day, 26/12/08 in Melbourne.....heard that shopping starts at 5.30am in the city (p/s: what an hour to start the day?!) Anyway, we not crazy about shopping so we did not join in the craze. We spent the morning lazying around at home before heading out to Forest Hill Shopping Centre for some pancakes at Pancakes Parlour. (yummy =P) We 4got to take pics of the pancakes coz we were both too hungry and started eating once the food came....we ordered the "country breakfast' and "apple cinnamon pancakes".....they are really very delicious......(The pancakes there are real nice...light and fluffy....not like the ones we make at home.....hehe =p)

After lunch, we head down to Zegame's for some pokies before going to Marie Ee's place for dinner.....(look at the turkey feast we having)

Uncle Keith and Ee roasted the turkey while hubby cooked the 'vegetarian chicken rice' and chicken rice chilli to go with it. What a nice combination.....East n West!! After dinner, we had profiteroles and mini muffins (baked by Ee) for desserts......and a few games of Uno Spin to end the day off. Really had lotsa fun 2day =)

Xmas Gathering cum Hubby's B'day Celebration

Its Xmas day....n we got invited to a xmas bbq lunch at my cousin, Alina's place. She is such a great host, prepared so much food....juz look at the two tables of food.....yummy =P

Anyone game for cheap pizzas? Found this pizza outlet in Wantirna, along the way home from Marie EE's place.....

They serve a wide varitey of pizzas and it cost only A$7.50 for a LARGE one......

Uncle Keith's B'day

Today, 20/12/08, we went to his place to celebrate his b'day (actual day is on monday, 22/12/08) in advance.

We bought a 'Sushi Cake' for him.....hehe.....tot of making fun of him, instead he acutally like the idea n was enjoying himself with the unique 'cake' (the one wif the strawberries)



Marie EE made seafood n vege tempura..... n oso uncle's fav trifle....





Uncle tot his b'day present from us was the 'Sushi Cake'.....but we got him later when we gav him his acutal present......2 bottles of Baileys.....

We all had a very enjoyable evening together n wish dat next time more ppl can join us.....the more the merrier.....heehee.....

Suzuki Nite Mkt @ Vic Mkt

Yippie....time for good food....heehee!!!

Its the annual summer nite market at Vic Mkt!! where u get good food n nice music n shopping!!! This is the second time (17/12/08) we are there for the nite market (went there two weeks (3/12/08) ago...heehee) There was alot of variety of food n wine to choose from.....We started with some Spanish Puff (cant remember the acutal name...haha....) then we went on to have some Mauritius snacks, mixed berries crepe with ice cream n finally honey dumpling with ice cream....yummy.....

Anyone visiting Melbourne during Summer should not miss this nite market.....abit like the 'pa sa malam' we have back in Singapore....

Hubby's B'day Celebration

Yippee.....Went to Hog's Breath Cafe for dinner on 13/12 =) Its actually to celebrate my hubby's b'day which actually has not arrived yet (p/s: its on Xmas Day) Since we will be going to my cousin's place for Xmas lunch on 25th (1st time celebrating Xmas in Melbourne) so decided to celebrate early since hubby got free steak from Hogs for his b'day...heehee =)

We had quite a hearty meal....
- Entree: garlic n herbs bread and salt n pepper calamari
- Main course: Hickory Smoked Prime Rib (Hubby)
Buffalo Ranch Chicken Burger (Me)
- Desserts: Mississippi Mud Cake

Almost couldn't walk out of the cafe after that....*Burp

December in Melbourne

Its Summmer in Melbourne!!! But its been cool and cold juz like winter n spring, with lotsa low temperature and rain....sigh =( Where has all the sunshine gone to??

We went out for window shopping in the city this evening, its was raining n the weather was rather cold. But that did not dampen our moods for Christmas.....Merry Xmas!!! The window display at Myers was so cute n nice (got some pics to share below)
